1. Don’t Lie to Each Other
It’s a hard road back to reclaim the link you shared after trust disappears, whether emotionally or physically. Never lie about the minor things because if you can do that, lying about the major things will be much simpler. There is no room for lying in relationships since they are built on trust and honesty.
2. Don’t Stop Putting in Effort
When you become too comfortable with someone, you stop attempting to get to know his or her inner thoughts and needs. Being in a healthy relationship doesn’t mean you don’t need to make much effort. If you are not positive about your relationship, there is a great chance that you will lose your lover. When you’ve been together for a long time, you may get bored or even tired of it. Then all you need to do is try to talk to your partner, constantly surprise him or her with something romantic and take the effort to rekindle the passion between you two. Remember: there’s no harm in being comfortable, but don’t let that comfort turn into boredom.
3. Don’t Compare Your Partner to Others
This means that you should avoid comparing your partner to others, as well as your current relationship to your previous relationships. Comparison is extremely unhealthy and will not make you feel fulfilled or happy. Instead, you will only become more and more unbalanced inside, and you may end up having thoughts of ending your current relationship. Remember, comparing your partner to others is meaningless, so don’t do it. Try to accept who he or she is, and value and respect his or her individuality. Constant comparisons will get you nowhere.
